Akash Rooney

BELL'Amore Handbells
Akash has been performing guitar, piano and vocals for over decade as a soloist and as a member of various bands and ensembles. He is a regular vocalist with the Jindalee Jazz Orchestra and Cool Nights Big Band, performing at a number of jazz gigs across Brisbane and Toowoomba. Akash recently performed as a vocalist in the ‘By The Numbers’ production featuring both Cool Nights Big Band and Shoebox Theatre. Having been a member of Toowoombells for the past few years, Akash continues to enjoy learning about the intricacies of handbell playing and the collaborative nature of the ensemble.
Cassie Midgley is classically trained soprano with extensive performance experience in a wide variety of contrasting styles from the opera classics to contemporary musical theatre and film. Cassie is committed to delivering each musical performance with warmth, style and authenticity. With her additional flare for the dramatic audiences will experience a funny, engaging and heartwarming experience. You can check out her Facebook page here!
Founded during the midst of the COVID pandamic. Toowoombells is a community group of musicians in Toowoomba who have discovered the art of handbell ringing amidst the global pandemic as a way to create and enjoy music while maintainig social distancing. Bell'Amore is a small Handbells ensemble under Toowoombells, and perform regularly around the Toowoomba area. Visit their Facebook page at: Toowoombells!
Amity Quartet
Established in the heart of rural Queensland, the Amity Quartet blends family harmony and a passion for bringing music to communities south of Toowoomba. After a well-received 2021 Christmas Together performance, they expanded, adding five more talented voices, creating a nine-member ensemble that now produces intricate harmonies and richer musical experiences.
